UPDATE
Shortly after our Short Term Mission
trip at the end of July, Pastor Omar was able to purchase a motorcycle with the funds
provided by SVCC and other supporters.
He was able to get a better moped that what we imagine. Now he can save time and energy. And he will be able to go further faster than he did using his bicycle.
YOUTH RETREAT
In August they held their Youth
Retreat. They used the same study we used for the youth in Remedios and
at Yumuri. The Retreat took place over several days; 33 young people
attended.

They incorporated a couple of outings
to nearby swimming pool and to the beach by way of this bus.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Also in August the church
held their Vacation Bible School. Vacation Bible School is for all ages
and it is held at night so people who work can attend. They had over 100
persons attend every night.

THEY ARE STARTING A NEW HOME GROUP
Pastor Omar tells us that they are
going to start a new Home Group in the village of Adelas where there is already
an existing mission. Adelas has a population of 1,500 or so.
A person who lives in the opposite part of the village from where
the mission is became a believer and wants to start a Home Group in his
house.
