CUBA TEAM
FEBRUARY
19 – MARCH 1
We are very excited about our next trip to
Cuba. Last year after meeting some
of the pastors of the towns surrounding Remedios, Greg Quirke (the Kelton
campus pastor for SVCC) had a desire to go back and minister with them in a
very special way. And that is what
we are doing this trip.
Except…..more.
Yes!
God has opened the door for us to engage with more
people than ever before. Eric and
Carol Smith who are the founders of South Valley Community Church (SVCC) are
part of the team and will be holding conferences. Not just one and
not just for pastors.
We will have a two-day conference with pastors and
their wives and 4 nights of conferences with lay men and women. People from neighboring
towns are also attending the conferences. Mike Crowley, who is a Marriage and Family Therapist, will be interfacing with young people and
their parents sharing insights about adolescence.
We will also spend time with the people who travel
to remote villages to share the gospel.
And as always, we are bringing much needed medicines and supplies.
As we go, we ask that you pray for and with us that
God be glorified in all we do – in each task we undertake, in each session of
the conferences and services, in each interaction we have with those we want to
encourage and support. Pray that we allow the presence of God
to be palpable to everyone during our time in Cuba and that we learn from each
other. Pray that we stay healthy and that we,our luggage and the supplies arrive safely.
We are expectant of what God has planned for us.
Stay tuned…. there’s more to come.
